Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: Off The Edge!

Happy Tuesday!!!!! Happy Back to school !!! My kiddos head back to school today Ryan is entering 4th grade and Abbey is heading to 6th (middle school). Every year at this time I start to get a little emotional about how much they have grown and where the time has gone. It is really hard to believe that my baby girl is in MIDDLE school. As a kid, I remember middle school being the strangest of the school years. Trying to figure out who you are, who your friends are, where you fit in....Oh man, I hope the transition is a easy one for her. Then you have my baby boy, who is right in the middle of elementary school.....seriously, where did the time go......before I know it they will be off to college and I will still be crying about it (hahaha).  Also, for the first time in many years, I am not a student (although I may take a class, cause I can't help myself). Wow...this is definitely a change for us. Instead of being a student, I am Nurse looking for employment....weird!
Well, I have been doing a lot of crafting, but not much of making cards, I am still doing lots of journaling, and with this weeks "Off The Edge" challenge, I thought I would share one of the journal pages I created. Although this is not completed, I love the way it is turning out...I drew the sunflower and used paint to create the edges and splatter. Not real sure what the writing on this page will be, but I sure did have fun creating it.
Last weeks Back to school challenge was a super fun one and I really enjoyed checking out all you creations, but as always I can only pick 3, so Last weeks TOP 3 are:

JoHam: I loved that you made the pencil embellishments yourself.

Hey U: altered Journal page

Happy Thursday, although I completely feel like it is Friday.  Hope you are enjoying your week.  Mine has been busy, but I took some time out with my friend Laura last night and we took a little field trip to Absolutely Everything in Topsfield Ma.   Ahhhhhh.....that have so many goodies...I wanted to EVERYTHING!!!!  It was the Dylusions products that captured my wallet. I bought a bunch of stencils, stamps, inks, and some pens.  I really wanted every stamp set they had....I have issues!!!!
So, as I promised, I would share the journal pages I have been creating. Again, this is a ALL me page. Drew and painted everything on the page. This page very much reminds me of candy land....LOL.... Well, I hope you enjoyed this crazy journal page and I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Happy Tuesday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend. My family and I had a great weekend. Friday night I was able to get together with some of the girls from nursing school, and then on Sat and Sunday we went the days on my parents boat. We did some fishing, some swimming and some driving, It was a really nice weekend. Hope you got to get some fun into your weekend.

To Live a Creative Life: JOurnal page

Happy Friday!!! I know a real shocker that I am posting on a Friday.  I have been creating so many journal pages, I figured I should start sharing some of them.   This page is one of my favorites, not because I "love how it came out", I created the whole entire page from start to finish. I created the background using Dylusions sprays, I DREW the image myself....yes, I actually attempted to draw, and I used my own writing (which I hate).  So, that is why it is one of my favorites.  I do really like the color combo as well. Sometimes when you are playing with the ink sprays you have no idea what it is going to end up looking like.
So along with my new found love for art journaling, comes some serious shopping....ARGHHH...there are so many products out there that I just LOVE!!! I am trying to convince myself that I don't "NEED" them all, well at least today..LOL
Well, that is all for me today. I am off to soak up the ocean air in Maine. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, and I will be chat with you again on Tuesday for Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge. Have a good one.

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: KIds theme

Happy Tuesday! Did you have a good weekend? Here in New Hampshire, it rained all weekend (much needed), so we just hung around and did things around town this weekend.  With all the rain, it allowed me some time to sit and get crafty, and get crafty I did.  Not making cards, but inking, paint, and spritzing in my journal.....oh, how I am loving this mixed media stuff.....I love that there is no rhyme or reason to anything, and I literally just do what ever comes to mind.  I am hoping to share some pages later in the week.
This week we want to see your CARDS/PROJECTS for kids. I had made this card a while back, but never posted it, so here it is,  a very simple card for a kid :) Can't wait to see what you come up with this week :)

Going Grey With Scrap-Creations Challenge: "D"

Happy Tuesday...Hope you had a wpnderful weekend. It dawned on me today, as I was noticing that it is starting to get darker just a bit earlier, and the kids are heading back to school in 3 weeks. Crazy how fast the summer has gone by, but what a great summmer it has been, and this past weekend was no different.  My husband and I drove to Portland Maine for the Mumford and sons concert, and it was completely amazing!!! My favorite band by far!
Are you wondering what in the world this weeks challenge is yet??? I have been journaling and altered journaling more than making greeting cards, so for this week "D" challenge (dies, digis,etc.....) I made a "D"iet Coke journal page, and yes..."My name is Kristen Catalano and I am a Diet Coke aholic!  So this week, we want to see what you come up with for our "D" challenge!

Last week all the entrys for the "anything Goes" challenge were all so fabulous. I have narrowed down the TOP 3 to:
