Happy Birthday!! Cupcake inspired

Happy Sunday!!!! Thank you for stopping by on this fabulous Day.....It's Sunday and Sunday's = Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake inspired challenge. What caught my eye on this weeks
Pic was the strawberry's, but honestly, my craft room is such a mess right now, it would have been impossible for me to dig around looking for some type of Strawberry themed DP (although I am sure there is something in my stash I could have used), so, I decided to go with the pink, green, and sweet. I always have all my Basic Grey neatly stashed in a plastic bin, so I knew I could find something to go with this challenge in there (hehehe). I decided to go with Basic Grey Lemonade, and I just ordered a bunch of new Greeting Farm stamps, so I used my new Lolli Anya. In case you haven't noticed, I am on A Greeting Farm kick right now (LOL). I think they are just so cute! This week I combined my challenges and used the Friday Sketchers, sketch.

So, today is the kids last day of vacation (phew), and we are off to one of Abbey's gymnastic meets for the day. I am looking forward to getting back to my "normal" schedule, although, I am anticipating a busy and nerve wracking week. Tuesday I have my interview with the nursing dept of my #1 school choice, I have my Microbiology midterm coming up next wed (going to be so hard), so I need to study...A LOT, and I also need to study for a upcoming math test for another nursing school. I am feeling nervous just typing this.....So, needless to say, I have a busy two weeks coming up. I am hoping to be able to keep up my stamping mojo :)

Well, that is all for me today. We would love it if you would join us for this weeks Hope Stamps Eternal Cupcake inspired Challenge this week. We would love to see what inspiration you would draw from this weeks cupcake pic. If you get a chance, don't forget to check out what the rest of the "VERY" talented DT came up with for this weeks challenge. Well, Ciao for now. Have a great day, and Happy Creating!

Bloggers Challenge: Bag or Box

Happy Friday All. Thanks for stopping by today. What a wild night of weather we are having here in New England. It has been raining for most of the week, and then last night, the winds started whipping up something fierce. The lights were flickering, and we could hear things slamming into the house. My hubby and I decided to grab the kids and put them in our bed, just in case the lights went out, or perhaps the HUGE pine tree in our front yard decided to come down. Needless to say, neither happened (phew), but yes, our yard is a MESS with broken tree branches, leaves, and our driveway is blocked by a HUGE limb from our HUGE pine tree in the front yard. Luckily, hubby is home today to clean that up (hehehe).

Well, the weather hasn't been the best this week for the kids Feb vacation, so we haven't done much, but I think we will finish the week off and take them to the movies today. Not real sure what we'll see, but it's something to do.

So, like I said, it's FRIDAY, and Friday ='S bloggers Challenge. This weeks challenge was to create a bag or box. Because I am almost always last minute Nelly, I waited until 8:30 last night to create my project, and had know idea what I would make until my good friend Kim guided me to some pretty cool templates on the Clear & Simple stamps blog. I used the template for the XOXO box and and decorated. This was probably this fastest project I have in months . I used my new Early Bird Cosmo Cricket paper (which I LOVE), one of my sentiment stamps, a little random ribbon and Viola, finished. I think it turned out pretty cute, even know I didn't color anything (hehehe).
Well, that is all she wrote today, Again, thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend. Happy Creating!!!!!

Hey Love Bug: Pink Cat Studio New Release

Happy Thursday. Are you having a good week?
my kids are on school vacation this week, so we have been trying to keep them busy. Yesterday we took them to the Boston Museum of Science and saw the new Harry Potter exhibit, which was fabulous. We had a really good time. From the museum my hubby to me to Blick Art Supply (which is located in Boston, and is the only one anywhere near me). So, I finished the day with a little shopping spree.....So fun. I purchased a few more copics for my collection. I just love my markers (hehehe) .

Moving on to today card. It's a big day today. Pink Cat Studio is releasing 3 new Digi images today, and 7 new rubber images today as well. You have got to peak at them, they are soooo cute. When I was making my card, I decided to use Lily Butterfly. I think she is so cute, and I knew that the basic Grey Sugar Rush paper would go great with her. I am pretty pleased with how she turned out. What do you think? I decided to try one of the crunch flowers in the corner. So easy to make. You may be seeing more of those in my future. Wanna see what the Pink Cat DT came up with for samples for these new stamps? You can check them out here. Well, that is all for me today. I am going to leave you with a few pics I took yesterday while in Boston. Have a great day an happy Creating!

NEED your Input PLEASE!!!!

Wow, can you believe it is already Wednesday? This week is flyin bye. How was your Valentines Day? Anything special? My daughter had a gymnastics competition, so we spent a majority of the day there, and then we came home and rested.
So, I here is the part in which I need your input. I was thinking of starting to do a challenge once a week. The Basis of the challenge would be to always use Basic Grey DP (any), and then follow it with a theme or technique, or a type of card fold. So, I was wondering if I did this, would any of you be interested in participating in a challenge like this. If I had enough interest, I would love to go ahead with this. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them :)
So, onto my card today, while in CHA, Kerry & I visited the Taylored expressions booth, (although, I hate to admit it, I haven't seen much of her stamps before), and I came across this super cute Fish card on their display and decided that I needed to have that stamp and play for myself...Yep, as you see I made the purchase. I used a sheet from my stash, which I had been dying to use, and used a simple past Mojo Monday sketch and here you go. Simple and easy card.

Well, I am going to keep it short today, as I am trying to catch up on some cards and things. I can't wait to hear what you think of the challenge. Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Hopes Stamps Eternal: Sunday Cupcake Challenge

Happy Valentines Day!!!! You know I had to make my last card with Valentines colors. Today's card is done for Hopes Stamps Eternals Sunday cup cake inspiration challenge.
Since Pink & brown are some of my favorite colors, this challenge was a piece of cake for me. I used the colors from the cupcakes and worked them into my card. I used my new oh so cute Greeting Farm stamp, an some Bo Bunny DP. I am not sure you can tell, but I used my Sakura Quickie Glue Pen and applies some light glitter flock on the fur of her coat. I really enjoyed coloring this image. I am admitting say that The Greeting has some of the cutest stamps right now. I just can't help myself. So, are you looking to participate in a fun challenge? Head on over to Rachel's and play with us. We would love to see what you come up with. Have a FANTASTIC valentines day......Happy Creating

ONE MORE THING.....HAVE YOU SEEN THE NEW COSMO CRICKET 6X6 PAPER PACKS.....HMMMM..you have got to see them, and guess what.....Rachel has them in stock. Check them out. Maybe I will save you a couple (hehehe)....

Happy St. Paddy's Day with Pink Cat Studio

Happy Saturday......Are you have a good weekend so far? I was successful at getting caught up on my crafting. Well, Valentines card making time is coming to an end (very sad about that, as I love the colors), and now I am moving on to St. Paddy's Day cards. We don't "really" celebrate St. Patricks Day in my house, but my kids do truly believe in leprechauns (thanks to the school they go to), even know I have explained to them often that there is no such thing.
Ok, and now for my card.....I used this weeks Pink Cat Studios newly released "Itty Bitty Bobby - Pot of Gold". I am a huge fan of PCS Itty Bitty Bobby and Betty stamps. They are just so adorable. I used my new pack of Origins Basic Grey (which, originally, I didn't really like, but now love), I added a few embellishments and Viola......

I have to say that I am in a huge distressing phase right now. I feel like everything should be distressed. I think it was CHA that got me into this. I did a lot if makin takes and they distressed everything. There is even a new tool (the Zutter), which distress for you. No worries, I already pre-ordered mine (hehehe).
Well, that is all for me today. I am off to work. I hope you have a fantastic weekend and Stay tuned tomorrow for Hope stamps Eternal cupcake challenge! Happy Creating!!

Blogger's Challenge: Valentines Day

Happy Friday all. I have to say that I am thrilled that it's Friday. It has been some kind of week I tell ya. I have had family projects all week. My daughter (who is 8) had a book report due on Monday, and along with the report, you had to create a model. Well, the book report was a biography, and she chose Martin Luther King Jr, and I must say that my creative skills aren't so hot on creating people. She had to use a container, which held the report, and then use the container to also create her person. Well, not so hot as you will see. The second project of the week was my sons (ho is 6), and had to create a 100 day project. Thankfully, he decided to go with Lego's, and my hubby helped him. As you know, Valentines Day is Sunday, which means the kids both have Parties today. While my sons project was to just have box to put his valentines in, my daughters grade decided to hold a contest, with different categories for the most creative, Prettiest, and something else (can't remember). So we have been working on her project this week as well, and on top of all that I had to write a paper for school, and The kids a I have been sick with a chest cold. Like I said, it has been some kinda week........
So, moving onto my bloggers challenge. I decided after all the work Abbey & I put into her valentines box, that I would go and use that for my Bloggers challenge today. Nope, not a card, but we built a actually mailbox. Well, when they said "contest", I decided to kick her project up a notch (hehehehe). We completely winged this as we went along. I had a image in my head of what "I" wanted and went with it. The top of the mailbox is made of cardboard, and DP, and I then attached it to foam board and wood for stability. I then had hubby attach the wooden pole to a wooden base, and had Abbey paint it white. We then attached a piece of foam to the base, added greenery for a grass affect, and plugged in some wooden flowers, in which I used left over DP to decorate, and to finish it off, I added a small wooden fence. Yep, I went WAY over board for a kids valentine's box. I knew I was at the point of know return once I had purchased the wood.....hehehe....Well, anyways, she was happy with it and hopefully the teachers don;t think I am completely crazy!
And last but not least, I wanted to share with you a pic of my son with his "premade" valentines box (it was cute)......
Well, That is all for me today. I am playing catch up today. I have cards to make, laundry to do and a house the desperately needs to be cleaned, after a week of neglect. I hope you have a FABULOUS day and happy Creating!!!!

Hopes Stamps Eternal Cup Cake Challenge #45

Happy Sunday!!!!! Wow, I hardly ever post a card on Sundays, but today is a SPECIAL day! It is my very first time joining Rachel and team in HSE cupcake inspiration challenge. This is a great type of challenge for me, as it is not my "typical" challenge, and forces me a bit out of my comfort zone.
Today's Cupcake inspiration was chosen by Lori King
. On my card today, I drew inspiration from the colors on from this weeks Cupcake. I used my new Madelyn stamp from the Greeting Farm, and combined that with Basic Greys new Sugar Rush designer paper, and for the first time, I used these sweet blossom flowers on my card. Do you think I went overboard?

Not only was my card made for HSE's cupcake challenge, but I also had a very special thank you card in mind. You see, while I was in CHA, I had the chance to meet Diana Crick (The owner of Scor-pal, and Magnolia-licous). She is just the sweetest women, and oh so funny. She had treated a few of us to dinner and I just wanted to thank her for being so wonderful and sweet. She is a very creative women, I hope she likes my card, even know it's not Magnolia (hehehe).

I did want to share one more very special card with you. My daughter Abbey wanted to play along with me yesterday, so I stamped her an image and even let her use my copics (I know, I got weak). I think all in all, she did a really good job. Not so bad for a 8yr old little girl. She will be very excited when she sees it on my blog (Good job Doodle Bug)!

Well, that is all for me today. We would love to have you play along this week! Make sure to add a direct link to your NEW creation on Mr Linky on the HSE challenge blog by Saturday, Feb 13th at 9 pm MT. If you upload to a public gallery like SCS or PCP make sure to use keyword CIC44 so we can easily find you. Remember, no cupcake stamps are required!

If you would like to check out what the rest of the very talented HSE DT came up with, you can see their cards here.

Bloggers Challenge-Candy Hearts

TGIF......Wow, what a week. This is my first full week back at my "normal" schedule. I have been desperatly trying to get back into the swing of things here, but finding it hard. I am still exhausted. I guess the time change from Cali did me in.

Today is Friday and Fridays= Bloggers challenge. Although I have been away from Bloggers challenge, I am trying to get back into it on a regular basis. This weeks challenge was a Red, Black, and White challenge. At first I was clueless as what I would do, but then I had remembered that I had bought boxes of candy hearts to alter. (yep, I see holiday items and think, hmmmm what can I do with that). So, I took some scraps and put them to good use on these candy box covers I made. I used this panda Digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio and made these very simple covers. I plan to give these to my daughters Gymnastics team, as there are only about 7 of them.

Well, I need to keep this short, as I am running out the door to get my son to Karate and my daughter to Gymnastics, but if you are looking for a challenge to play in, you should consider joining us, we would love to have you. Needing inspiration, check out the ladies of the group. They are very talented.....you can do so by clicking on the link on the right side of my blog. Have a great weekend and happy creating.

Frog Kisses & Challenge

Happy Thursday.....I hope it has been a great week so far. I know it has been a busy week in my world. I am still trying to adjust to my schedule after being away for almost 2 weeks. Man, you need a vacation after a vacation.

How about this Frog????? isn't he super cute? He is one of 5 new images released by Pink Cat Studio today. The minute I saw him I knew I needed to make a card with him. He just has cuteness written all over those cheeks and big eyes. This is image was a lot of fun to work with. He is simple, but simple that he was fun to color and practice my shading with my copics, and I gave him a little 3D to add to him. I printed the image twice, colored the top balloon and the flower twice, cut, and pop dot, and Viola, you have a little added something. A little something to make your card POP. Had I had time, I would have like to play with some of the other images. Maybe this weekend.

So, did I mention a challenge????? Well, here is how it will work. Valentines day is just around the corner, and I love Valentines Day. Not for all the lovey dovey stuff, I just love all the candy and all the pretty things at the store (hehehe), so my challenge to you is this: Use any of the Pink Cat Digi Stamps and create a Valentines "something", a card, a treat box, a valentine, whatever you want, as long as it has to do with Valentines day. You have until Saturday Feb 13th to create your project, and what you have to do is leave me a comment with a link to your project/projects. I will then draw a winner using random.org and give the winner their choice of 5 Pink Cat digi stamps, which you can find here.

So, what are you waiting for??? head to your happy spot and start creating.....(hehehe). I am hoping you take me up on this challenge. I can't wait to see what you create. Have a great day and go ahead and play :)

Stamps: Pink Cat Digi
Ink: Printer ink, copics to color

Peace out Girlfriend!!!! Enabler ALert

Happy Tuesday. I have finally settled in from my CHA and NY trip. I even had time to make a few cards. Oh, I have been waiting to get my hands inky from the moment I got home from CHa. While seeing so many creative pieces of work, I just couldn't wait to play.

While in CHA I took this sweet image to color in my spare time, and that is what I did. I colored her in CA and then made the card last night. I used my new Sugar Rush paper from Basic Grey, and made this simple, but cute card. I have to tell you, these Greeting Farm stamps are just the cutest, and you can purchase both Greeting Farm Stamps, and the new Basic Grey paper at Hopes Stamps Eternal.

While I was at CHA, I found more companies that I would like to purchase from, so if you are easily enabled LOOK AWAY (hehehe) Here is a list of things I loved!

Gosh, there were so many wonderful products. Wait till you see whats going to be hitting the stores. Lots of embossing folders, dies, die cutters and so much more.
Well, it is getting late and I have to get some sleep. I hope you all have a wonderful day and happy creating!
